When I began blogging in 2010, I started a free medical consultation service for fictional scenarios. Though I'm not actively "consulting" anymore, it's been a great way to give back to the blogging community that had been so supportive to me as a novice writer.
Medical Mondays aims to help writers achieve accuracy with respect to medical issues in their stories, but with consideration of the scene, plot, and character. I also highlight unusual or uncommon medical illnesses to stretch writers' imaginations on what is truly possible, even within the realm of science and medicine.
