Here is it:
It was bloody awful. I went to see it the summer before college and I almost walked out. Almost. I didn't because I went with a friend who thought it was hilarious.
(We aren't friends anymore.)
Any of you who know me a bit know that I like a little bit of, shall we say, logic within the imaginary worlds I'm entering.
Splitting beer atoms? Einstein creating rock n' roll? It's like they took one drunken, random idea and stretched it into 90 minutes of sheer, unfunny idiocy.
Rotten Tomatoes beat me to pummeling this one into the ground.
(I apologize to any Aussies out there--I hear it was a hit there, but I can comfortably say that I love all things Aussie except this movie).
Please stop by the other bloggers on this fun Blogfest!
Revel in the Bad Movie.
Love it.
Live it.
Hurl it.

So you really can't split a beer atom? I just thought I missed that day in biochem.
I missed this movie. But it sounds awesome. ;) (teehee)
Hahaha, this looks AWFUL. Wow, I've never heard of it before, but I will definitely steer clear of it now!
LOL! Nice choice.
Einstein and I split a few beer atoms back in the day. E=MC Hammer.
I haven't heard of this one before, sorry you thought it awful.
Yvonne.
Glad I avoided this stinker. Thanks for sharing!
I have never heard of this film - which is just as well!! Yay!! Take care
x
saw it. hated it. agree COMPLETELY with everything you said!
;-)
what a fun idea for a blogfest!
Haha I never saw that but thanks for the heads up. I don't think I'll be watching that one any time soon!
As an Aussie, I am completely ashamed of this movie. I apologise profusely on behalf of my people for the 90 minutes of life you'll never get back. :)
I remember this movie. It was pretty awful.
Have heard of this movie but have no interest in seeing it. Sounds like it's a good thing I didn't!
Love Rotten Tomatoes, they're brilliant. I hate walking out on movies. The only time I ever did was a long, LONG time ago: Faye Dunaway and Tommy Lee Jones (great actors, right?) in The Eyes of Laura Mars. Ick!!! Serial killer going around stabbing people through their eyeballs with an icepick to kill them. That was the whole plot, as I recall--it totally overwhelmed any character development. Ick, ick ick.
Never saw that one. I'm guessing that's a good thing!
I think some bad movies really work best in large groups - if you're with a large group of friends, anything can be funny. :)
Ha ha, the only good things about bad movies are the great conversations they spawn! Here's to terrible movies that keep small talk going in the farthest reaches of the earth.
i've never seen this, but it sounds horrific!
I've never heard of this one, but if I see it, I'll run! :)
SO happy I missed this one!
That was an awful movie, but I wouldn't blame Einstein for trying. :)
I agree - it wasn't good! And the actor has done nothing since that film.
Thanks for participating in the blogfest!
I haven't seen it but it does look so awful.
Good grief. That just SOUNDS awful! Maybe as bad as Cannibal the Musical. Which was actually kind of ok.
Ha! Good choice. I've totally forgotten about that film. Probably better that way.
When this came out, I knew it would suck without a doubt and avoided it at all costs :).
Oh I used to love this movie.
But it is a terrible, terrible movie.
What a fun blogfest! Splitting beer atoms, huh? I can see the almost-walk-out quality of the movie already--even though I have not seen it.
I haven't seen this one. If I see it on the dollar rack, I'll keep walking.
It's so funny how many bad movies are out there. You just know three college guys wrote this during a weekend bender.
I've never heard of this movie--but it sounds like a weird movie. I'll be avoiding it!
Haha. Totally forgot about this movie. Yeah, it was bad.
Never had the pleasure of seeing this one.
Didn't see this one, but I've heard that viewing bad movies with other smart-ass friends who turn it into a sarcasm rally can be fun.
My worst movie ever? Crank. And then my friends forced me to see Crank 2. I was so bored/offended/confused/irrationally angry/bored I really just wanted to play Scrabble on my phone the entire time.
Crank 2 especially owes me 2 hours of my life back, and frankly, if I ever meet Jason Statham I'm gonna tell him that.
That movie really, really did suck I must admit. I didn't even make it all the way through it!
I remember this movie being a groaner! Great pic!
I actually liked that movie, way back when! Hope we can still be friends?! :)
I haven't seen this movie, and I'm really glad I didn't. Great choice! :)
I've never seen it, but one of my favorite bands, Icehouse, did the theme song - "Great Southern Land."
I missed this one and I'm glad. Will make a point to avoid it now. :D
I agree that this movie was pretty awful. Though he has some lovable qualities. The hair? :P
glad to say, I haven't seen it
One more I haven't seen. This blogfest is making me happy because I can see I've somehow managed to avoid a lot of stinkers.
What's worse than Young Einstein is the follow up sequel movies ;)
BAHAHAHAHA!!! yahoo serious. Oh, man. I forgot all about him. :D
Hahah.. too funny.. I haven't heard of this one!
Love this review... especially the beginning, middle, and end.
Yahoo Serious! Young Einstein was such a "classic". I can't believe I forgot it. I would have added it to my list!
Hah! That looks terrible! I can see why you hated it. ;)
Glad I dodged that bullet. I had to sit through all the Pokemon movies with my kids. Got some great shut eye. Thanks for the hopping list.
Lucky for me, I missed this one :)
'I didn't because I went with a friend who thought it was hilarious.'
But are you still friends with them? :)
I completely forgot about this movie which was probably a good thing! Glad to have met you through the blogfest! Julie
Hahahaha! Can't say I saw this one. And I never will. Thanks for the warning!!!
I've never heard of this one - thank goodness!
I think I saw this one as a kid, luckily ... I can't remember.
OMG, I saw this. I repressed the memory for decades, though - probably like a lot of people. LOL Truly terrible movie.
I am enjoying reading this blogfest entries. Hope you are feeling better.
I absolutely love your description of this movie. I never wanted to see this movie and splitting beer atoms just confirms that. LOL Great post!
I liked it as a kid, I think.
Never even heard of this one, but I'm glad I missed seeing it - not that I watch a whole lotta movies.
"Einstein" and "rock n' roll" would never be two things I put in a sentence together! I remember seeing this in the video store way back when, but I never picked it up. Good thing, I guess! :)
Never saw it, and I don't think I ever want to. ;)
You're right Lydia. Aussies totally got this movie. It was HUGE! I still have fond memories of its foolishness.
Denise
Ugh, even the movie poster looks awful! Thank goodness I missed that one. :)
Lydia-- What a great choice. I remember that movie and yes, it was atrocious. Great blog by the way, I'm following you now.
Great choice! This blog fest was a blast. Oh, wait, I didn't list mine. *bows head in shame* Still, I had fun. LOL
Oh my, that does look terrible. The movie, I mean.
