Give me a Break

No this is not a Kit Kat commercial, or is it about that sitcom with the saucy Nell Carter.

Today, I'm giving myself a break from doing all responsible things and will instead spend my free time revising. Not blogging, not doing laundry, not cleaning dishes.

Okay, I will feed my kids, I promise. ;) Crap, and I might check a blog or two...

On that note, here's a quote that makes me chuckle:

If my doctor told me I had only six minutes to live, I wouldn't brood. I'd type a little faster. ~Isaac Asimov

Have a great weekend!

Enjoy your break, and get that revising done! The dishes and blogging will wait, but probably not the kids. :)

Sometimes you just need to take the time and do it. I hope it goes really well.

It's so good to sometimes step back, and take care of the the things that make up who you are. Have a wonderful day!

You do realize you just blogged about not blogging, right? Just kidding, I've done it before too. You go girl, make some progress in those revisions!

Happy Friday!

Laundry? Cleaning? Feeding kids?

You mean writers are SUPPOSED to do that stuff. No wonder my dog is looking so gaunt these days.

Just kidding! :-)

Enjoy your time "off." I'm about to embark on the first round of edits on my WIP as well. *happy dance* Don't you love getting your hands deep into those piles of inky paper and scratching away with that red pen? Oh yeah.

LOVE the quote!!!!

If I don't feed the kitties, Kitty Boss will come and pat me on the face (when I'm sleeping) or stand and meow at me until I remedy the problem.

Kids are more vocal.

Cleaning dishes....doing laundry....those are dirty words! We're not supposed to use them!

Hope you're having a good weekend, Lydia. I'm trying to catch up on visiting blogs this weekend. Of course, I don't have any kids at home to feed, just one big (and old) kid!

Ha! Thank you for sharing that brilliant quote from Mr. Asimov.

I fully support doing less housework! Your kids can find their own food, isn't foraging a natural, useful skill to develop? LOL

Good for you! Sometimes writing or revising has to be the priority rather than the dregs. Cuz often the dregs get totally squeezed out...kinda the situation I'm in right now, sigh.

Have fun revising! Hope you get a heap done. I've been wrestling with revisions lately too. Not going as well as I hoped but not as awful as it could be. :)
